Starters

Slow braised pork cheeks, parsnip crisps and puree, sultana ragu, pan jus.

Goats cheese and mulled cranberry Eccles cakes, rocket and Cumberland sauce. (V)

Curried cauliflower and parsnip soup – Truffle oil. (V)

King prawn and crayfish cocktail, clementine and sun blushed tomatoes with gem lettuce and boozy cocktail sauce.

Duck and orange pate, homemade tomato and date chutney, melba toast and rocket.

 

Mains

 

Turkey wellington: 6oz Norfolk turkey breast, cranberry jam, sage and onion stuffing wrapped in puff pastry with roast potatoes, carrot and swede mash, tender stem broccoli, roast parsnips and proper gravy.

(Vegan option: mixed vegetable tart with vegan gravy)

The Royal Oak roast fillet burger: 6oz steak burger with chargrilled Angus fillet steak, rocket, horseradish in between two homemade giant Yorkshires, roast potatoes and lashings of proper gravy.

Christmas risotto: Breaded brie pieces, apricots, sage and roasted chestnuts in a creamy wild mushroom risotto topped with parsnip crisps. (v)

Orange and beetroot marinated salmon fillet served with lyonnaise potatoes, tender stem broccoli and heritage baby carrots drizzled with béarnaise sauce.

 

Desserts 

 

Traditional boozy Christmas pudding served with brandy crème anglaise and mulled winter compote.

Rich chocolate orange torte served with pineapple and ginger compote, salted caramel ice-cream.

Black forest cheesecake with fresh winter berries and vanilla ice-cream.

Clementine crème brûlée, candied lemon zest, millionaire shortbread and fresh raspberries.

 

All food served with a Columbian filter coffee and petit fours.
